Poland to free gas prices for companies in 2013
Poland plans to eliminate price caps on gas for corporate clients as of January 2013 and hopes to liberalise the market for retail clients after 2015, Marek Woszczyk, head of the energy regulator URe said.
URE sets the price of gas in Poland, which has a 14bnm3 gas market controlled by the state via PGNiG.
URE plans to release its official plans for market liberalisation in January after consultations with the Economy Ministry, Woszczyk added.
