Iranian Energy Ministry – power exports up 24% in 2011
The Iranian Energy Ministry has announced that the country has exported more than 6000GWh of power to its neighbours over the past six months.
The ministry says this reflects a growth of nearly 24% YoY, attributing the rise to the implementation of the government’s subsidy reform plan. The plan has enabled the country to gradually reduce energy subsidies over the course of five years.
